The Centralized Waiting List

The City has recently introduced a new process for parents seeking licensed child care: it's called the Centralized Waiting List, and is managed by Child Care Information, a local, non-profit program.

The Centralized Waiting List is designed to offer convenient, one-stop shopping for parents seeking child care. Instead of putting your name on multiple waiting lists at a variety of child care programs, you simply complete one Centralized Waiting List form and indicate your one or more child care choices on that form. Child care programs have access to the names of those parents that appear on the waiting lists for their programs, so it is the child care program/agency that calls you directly to inform you when an age-appropriate space becomes available in their program.

Here's how to register on the Centralized Waiting List for any of the child care programs of Global Child Care Services:

Tips for completing the Centralized Waiting List (CWL) form:

  • You must indicate "Global Child Care Services - (Insert Global Program Name), as your child care choice on page 3 of the form.

  • If you have only one child, you only need to complete/print the first three pages of the CWL application form.

  • If you require assistance completing the form or have questions about the process, please contact Child Care Information at: 613-248-3605.
