Serving 61 children from infancy to kindergarten age, Elizabeth Park Child Care Centre is housed within its own wing of Uplands Catholic School in the quiet community of the former military base at Uplands. The setting offers an abundance of nearby parks and peaceful nature walks. Nutritious snacks and a wholesome lunch are prepared daily by our own cook. The centre has regular access to the school’s gymnasium for gross motor activities for the children.

Our hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday to Friday.
We are open year round, excluding Statutory Holidays.

Our play spaces are designed to encourage all aspects of your child’s development. In each program room at Elizabeth Park, children can safely explore a learning environment that is designed to encourage their optimal physical and cognitive growth, appropriate to their age and level of development.

We offer a balance of structured and unstructured, stimulating and quiet-time activities and an abundance of opportunities for children’s creativity. Our expert staff design and implement age-appropriate programming that promotes self-esteem, self confidence, self-help skills and independence. We provide opportunities to strengthen social skills, for children to make choices, and gentle encouragement to children to resolve their own conflicts.

Above all, children are given the opportunity to explore who they are in a safe, healthy environment in which they are respected and admired for their individuality.

All the children regularly enjoy special visitors to the centre in order to enhance the fun and learning already provided by our qualified and dedicated staff. In addition to the daily outings enjoyed by all the children, the older children enjoy age-appropriate, well-supervised field trips.

Please contact us if you'd like to learn more about our centre. Our centre is usually fully enrolled, so it's important to place your name on the waiting list as soon as possible.

To place your name on our waiting list (full fee and subsidy), you must register your name on the Centralized Waiting List (managed by Child Care Information on behalf of the City of Ottawa) and identify "Global Child Care Services - Elizabeth Park Child Care Centre" as your child care choice. How to Find Us

Directions:
Elizabeth Park Child Care Centre is located at 101 Croil Private (formerly 345 Croil Street) in Uplands Catholic School on the former base at Uplands. Drive south on Riverside Drive, turn left at the lights onto Hunt Club and then right at the lights onto Canadair Pvt. Follow that for awhile and then turn left onto Croil. Follow Croil to the four-way stop, proceed straight, you’ll see Uplands Catholic School on the left, park on the right.
