Located just minutes outside the quaint village of Manotick, Rideau Valley Child Care Centre serves 103 children from 6 months through 10 years of age in bright and spacious rooms overlooking a quiet, natural setting. Nutritious snacks and a wholesome lunch are prepared daily by our own cook.

Our hours of operation are 7:00 a.m. to 5:45 p.m., Monday to Friday.
We are open year round, excluding Statutory Holidays.

Our play spaces are designed to encourage all aspects of your child’s development. In each program room at Rideau Valley, children can safely explore a learning environment that is designed to encourage their optimal physical and cognitive growth, appropriate to their age and level of development.

We offer a balance of structured and unstructured, stimulating and quiet-time activities and an abundance of opportunities for children’s creativity. Our expert staff design and implement age-appropriate programming that promotes self-esteem, self confidence, self-help skills and independence. We provide opportunities to strengthen social skills, for children to make choices, and gentle encouragement to children to resolve their own conflicts.

Above all, children are given the opportunity to explore who they are in a safe, healthy environment in which they are respected and admired for their individuality.

All the children regularly enjoy special visitors to the centre in order to enhance the fun and learning already provided by our qualified and dedicated staff. In addition to the daily outings enjoyed by all the children, the older children enjoy age-appropriate, well-supervised field trips.

Age Range: 18 months - 2 1/2 years

Preschool Program
Age Range: 2 1/2 - 4 years
Staff/Child Ratio: 1:8
Program Capacity: 24 children
Monthly Fee: $909.00

Kindergarten Program
Age Range: 4 and 5 years
Staff/Child Ratio: 1:12
Program Capacity: 24 children
Monthly Fee: $690.00 (includes all PD Days and March Break).

School Age Program
Age Range: 6 – 10 years
Staff/Child Ratio: 1:15
Program Capacity: 30 children
Monthly rate: $420.00 (includes all PD Days and March Break).
Special Note : lunches for School Age children are the parents’ responsibility

Please contact us if you'd like to learn more about our centre. Our centre is usually fully enrolled, so it's important to place your name on the waiting list as soon as possible.

To place your name on our waiting list (full fee and subsidy), you must register your name on the Centralized Waiting List (managed by Child Care Information on behalf of the City of Ottawa) and identify "Global Child Care Services - Rideau Valley Child Care Centre" as your child care choice. How to Find Us

Directions:
Take Riverside Drive south, turning right at the lights onto River Road, which will take you to Manotick. Turn right onto Bridge Street and go over the bridge. Turn left at the lights at the intersection of Bridge and Main Street. Main Street becomes Rideau Valley Drive, so take Main Street outside of town about 2 kms; you’ll see the fire station on your left and then shortly thereafter on the right is a big beige/brown building set back from the road, 5858 Rideau Valley Drive. The child care centre is around the back of that building.
